Envision a great city with Gil Peñalosa on June 4

Gil Penalosa

Don't forget to register for the Monday, June 4 special Grand Boulevard Initiative event to hear from inspirational guest speaker Gil Peñalosa, former commissioner of Parks, Sports and Recreation for the City of Bogotá, Colombia. Peñalosa led the effort to create one of the most celebrated park systems in the world. He also initiated car-free Sundays where over 1.3 million people come out weekly to walk, run, skate and bike along 121 kilometers of Bogotá’s city roads.

This event is an opportunity for us to imagine how all the elements of a great community come together along El Camino Real, the road that links the communities of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Join us!

When: Monday, June 4, 6 to 8:30 p.m.
WhereCubberley Community Center Theatre, 4000 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto
RSVP: This event is free; please RSVP and download the flyer here
